Summer 2024 started very rough for me; I mean it was brutal. So, it was going to be one of two things, either be consumed by all the sad stuff or just be happy and live in the moment. I chose the latter.

To know me is to see that I have a love affair with food, I mean as a kid my siblings used to refer to me as "FFO" which means For Food Only! I used to cry when they said that but now as an adult, I have embraced my ever-exploring love for food.

I once went for a Japanese breakfast a few years ago and loved it so this time my friend and I decided to try Nara-Ya at the Wharf in DC, and we were not disappointed. The menu had a variety of items and of course bottomless mimosas. How can anyone say no to those?

The ambiance was delightful, modern, and vibrant with soft music creating a warm atmosphere. We started with the octopus takoyaki and the California rolls which were just delicious, then we went for the fried chicken eggs benedict, mixed green salad, and smoked salmon toast. The chicken and waffles were a perfect combination of sweet and savory. Lastly, I had the matcha tiramisu which wasn’t great. All this was with bottomless mimosas. Overall, I highly recommend Nara-Ya for anyone looking to enjoy a unique and delicious brunch!"
